Marketing Intern Spring/Summer 2012

FeelGoodNow.com is seeking a highly motivated undergraduate (junior/senior) or gradate-level marketing intern to join our spunky team for Spring/Summer 2012. A time commitment of 16-20 hours is required.

The position will allow you the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, startup environment with a small team in our Santa Fe Arts District office. Responsibilities include creating and implementing new marketing strategies, initiatives to increase brand awareness and monitoring new and existing marketing strategies as well as working on a variety of event coordination and community outreach as assigned by the marketing outreach coordinator.

This is a very hands-on position where your ideas will be heard, implemented and tested in the actual marketplace so it is not for the faint of heart. Outstanding performance in the internship capacity will lead to consideration for a full-time position.

FeelGoodNow.com provides educational materials and dynamic custom video work for alternative health and wellness practitioners to learn how to market themselves online using social media through genuine engagement. We are not consultants, we are educators (and nerds, geeks, aspiring yogis, amongst other things).

Applicants should possess a strong work ethic, be highly motivated, well-organized, work well independently and with teams, and be gung-ho about online marketing. A basic knowledge of the alternative health and wellness space is a plus.

Responsibilities:

•  Work closely with marketing and executive team on daily operations.
•  Write tech/marketing industry news that is applicable to our practitioners as well as press releases and supporting marketing materials.
•  Create, implement and monitor new marketing strategies.
•  Observe brand-related discussions/interactions online.
•  Perform market research as needed.
•  Represent FeelGoodNow’s brand and services both on and offline.

Qualifications:

•  Strong desire to work, positive attitude, good sense of humor and a passion for online marketing and digital media.
•  Thorough understanding of how to use social media on a professional basis including best business practices for Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube.
•  Strong ability to multi-task on a regular basis while maintaining over-arching goals.
•  Impeccable writing and editing skills (familiarity with AP Style a plus).
•  Comfortable working in a fast-paced, highly dynamic environment.
•  Film/photography/graphic design skills are a major asset.
•  Exceptional written and verbal communication, creative problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
•  Experience using Microsoft Office, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn (Google+ a plus – pun intended).
•  Based in Denver, CO (relocation costs are not eligible for compensation).
•  Must be available 16-20 hours a week.

* Internship is unpaid to start however, FGN will complete any materials necessary for the position to earn credit through your learning institution. Applications accepted on a rolling basis.
