Healthline Networks, a health based search engine, recently released the most searched health terms on both computers and mobile devices in 2011. The Healthline data points to significant differences in the timing of health related searches and the variance in subject matter via mobile or web search. The data reveals that consumers search for personal, private matters on their mobile devices and look for more extensive information on serious health related issues on desktops and laptops.
mobihealthnews reports that each month, nearly 100 million consumers access Healthline and its HealthWeb partners to find detailed health information. According to the released information, consumers search after work in the evening and less often on the weekend. Mobile searches for health information peak on Wednesday and on Mondays for desktop users.
